You were born on a Wednesday, the 27th of May 1987, a beautiful little girl only 2.8kg, a precious little bundle with mommyβs dark hair and a pair of gorgeous blue eyes.
It was a difficult road with mommy in hospital while I expected you, a long difficult birth but you were in my arms and despite all the pain, looking down at you, nothing has ever come more natural than that warm feeling of being your mommy.
I got to know you so well during those nine months, every hiccup, every jab, every time you pushed out my belly... I shared myself with you for nine months and now you were here at last! With every coo and every little smile, your little fingers holding on tight... I lost my heart... We decided to call you Kim Debby (after your Granny McIntosh), I never felt my heart so full of love and happiness ever!!
I still remember that very first day we took you home, daddy held you in his arms and looked up for a photograph, he looked so happy ... how often in the last 20 years have I hoped just to see that look again ...just once, as you will live forever in that look and in the man that held you in his arms and shared the pain of loosing you over all these years.
We were young, inexperienced parents but we loved you all the same, we hoped and dreamed about your future and we took care of you with love.
I hope that you enjoyed being my baby girl as much as I enjoyed being your mommy... death will never separate the joy you brought to my life and the many precious memories we shared... Baby girl continue to share your love and hope in heaven as you did on earth. You have gone too soon but never to be forgotten.
It was not my decision that you couldn't stay, you grew wings and flew away.....
I miss you my angel, my daughter, my baby girl...

The tiny rosebud God picked to bloom in Heaven.
The master gardener from heaven above
Planted a seed in the garden of Love,
And from it there grew a rosebud small
That never had time to open at all.
For God in his perfect and all-wise way
Chose this rose for his heavenly bouquet,
And great was the joy of this tiny rose
To be the one our Father chose
To leave earth’s garden
For one on high
where roses bloom always and never die.
So, while you can’t see your precious rose bloom,
You know the great gardener from the upper room
Is watching and tending this wee rose with care,
Tenderly touching each petal so fair.
So think of your darling with the angels above,
Secure and contented and surrounded with love,
And remember God blessed and enriched your lives too,
For in dying your darling brought heaven closer to you.

What kind of place would heaven be with all its streets of gold, if all the souls, that dwell up there like yours and mine, were old? How strange would heaven’s music sound when harps begin to ring, if children were not gathered ‘round to help the angels sing. The children that God sends to us are only just a loan, He knows we need their sunshine to make the house a home. We need the inspiration of a baby’s blessed smile. He doesn’t say they’ve come to stay, just lends them for a while. Sometimes it takes them years to do the work for which they come. Sometimes in just a month or two our Father calls them home. I like to think some souls up there bear not one sinful scar. I love to think of heaven as a place where children are.

That an Angel came and called my name,
